Nashville Lifestyle Weddings Bridal Show
Tuesday, March 31, 2009 Okay okay! I have had major cobwebs in my brain and subsequently haven’t been able to write in my notes for a long time. Not that I haven’t thought about it. I’ve even tossed out several ideas for blog entries, and great ideas they were too! But what is written perfectly at night in my head as I was lying in bed trying to sleep, could never seem to be written during my waking hours. It’s so sad!
But here I am! Woo-hoo! And I’m writing about last weekend’s bridal show that we participated in. And if you know us, you know that we don’t do a lot of bridal shows. We thought that this would be a good show to do, though, so there we were bright and early last Saturday at the Schemmerhorn Symphony Center for Nashville Lifestyles Weddings 2nd Annual Bridal Show!
Well let me back up. I wasn’t actually there bright and early. Actually Lynette and Amanda were there bright and early to set up the booth. I don’t know why I luck out so often, but I didn’t have to set up. I got there in time for the show to start, but I did help Lynette in taking everything down once the show was over, so hopefully that means I’m pulling a little of my weight?

Anyway, this bridal show was very beautiful, since I think anything held at the Schemmerhorn is beautiful. And it was very special in that there was only ONE vendor in each category (i.e. photographer, wedding cakes, wedding gowns, etc). And of course The Schemmerhorn represented itself as the wedding and/or reception venue. So everything that a bride would need for her big day was there.
Also at the show was Tara Guerard, wedding planner and author of Southern Weddings. Tara spoke during the lovely and yummy mimosa luncheon and shared tips with brides on how to really make their weddings unique and gorgeous. And maybe MY highlight of the luncheon was the desert, wedding cake (YUM!) from Maples Wedding Cakes (YUM YUM YUM!) :--) After the luncheon, Tara signed copies of her book.

Along with meeting some wonderful brides, we were able to visit with friends, such as next-door-booth-neighbor, photographer Angie Gambill of Gambill Photography.
Of course we’ve known Angie for a while and love her and adore her work, so no need to say more. But we had the pleasure of meeting a new friend and next-door-booth-neighbor Jessica Donnelly of Hillsboro Chocolate Company. (Oh, and a big shout-out to Jessica’s Mom, Gavin!). But can you imagine having a better next-door-booth-neighbor than a chocolate company?
Jessica even let us taste her treats, which were not only yummy but also so cute! Perfect wedding favors! And made totally from scratch from Hillsboro Chocolate Company! Cool!
Oh, and I met another nice vendor, American Laser Center who I signed up with for a chance to win a free treatment. Wish me luck that I win……..something!

And I must also say that our booth looked pretty darn good too. Lynette made a really cute gift bag filled with movie popcorn and candy as well as six chick flick wedding movies! Bride Wendy Cornett was our happy winner! Congratulations Wendy!
As with every bridal show that we do, we were so happy to meet such nice brides. After all, everything we do IS all about the bride. We would love to hear from any of the brides who stopped by our booth. Thank YOU for making this bridal show such a lovely event!
And so another bridal show came to an end. And now we’re gearing up for 2009 weddings as well as continuing to work hard on editing our gorgeous weddings from 2008. I will be having lots to say in the upcoming months! So keep checking in!
It’s been such a long long time since my head has touched a pillow. So it’s time for this girl to go to bed!
