Anne Marie & Ken

Hello Everyone. Sorry I didn’t write in my notes last weekend. Sometimes a girl just needs to stay in her pj’s and contemplate the meaning of life all weekend. Not that I did that…..

Buettner%20blog-BFOB2.jpgBut this past weekend I was back up and at ‘em! We had a beautiful wedding to shoot. Anne Marie and Ken were married this past weekend. And not only did we video the wedding, but we also were invited to cover the rehearsal dinner as well. Recording the rehearsal dinner is something that we offer our brides, but not many choose to have this event recorded. As I was standing behind my camera during the toasts that night, I wondered why more people didn’t want to record this event. There were so many beautiful toasts and funny toasts, and surprising toasts…. And tears and laughter and tears and tears and tears and laughter…. Anne Marie and Ken will never have to try and remember what their friends and family said that night. We have it recorded forever for them on video.

AnneMarieKen%20thumbnail.jpgWe had already bonded with Anne Marie and Ken when we spent a Sunday afternoon with them as they performed on their music video.  We had such a good time that day!  The video was played during the rehearsal dinner to everyone’s enjoyment. The couple who sang “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” didn’t. In fact, they had an absolutely beautiful wedding. And we’re glad that they didn’t call the whole thing off!.... As if!

Buettner%20blog-phone.jpgAs usual, I spent the day with Ken and his groomsmen, and Amanda and Lynette were with Anne Marie. I didn’t see Anne Marie until much later in the afternoon during part of her photo shoot. Anne Marie and Ken had decided to not see each other before the wedding, so everyone was sneaking Anne Marie in and out and keeping Ken pretty much segregated in one area where he wouldn’t accidentally see the beautiful bride.

Buettner%20blog-7.jpgAnne Marie and Ken are so obviously in love and both had given a lot of thought and planning into this wedding. The entire event was very elegant.

The wedding itself was very touching. Anne Marie and Ken had spent a long time looking for each other. Their ceremony was emotional in that they had found their soul mate, and it showed. Having their friends and family around only made the wedding more touching because everyone there was so happy for Anne Marie and Ken. It was a happy day for everyone.

Amanda and I covered the reception at Brentwood Country Club, and Lynette covered the photo shoot after the wedding. Since they had put so much time and planning into this day, we wanted to make sure that we didn’t miss any of the details. The country club was decorated beautifully. Guests lacked for nothing. The gorgeous wedding cake was the centerpiece of the room, and of course, it was delicious! I never miss tasting the wedding cake!

DJ Michael B kept the evening moving along, the dance floor stayed full, and all the guests stayed until Anne Marie and Ken made their exit through a sea of bubbles. As the limo drove away, I thought to myself that the day had turned out perfectly.

I would like to add one more thing.  A pivotal person who kept the day running smoothly was the wedding planner, Mary Natalie. That's why we chose her for our Vendor in the Spotlight.  Mary Natalie was a pleasure to work with in that she kept us informed of the timeline of events for the wedding day and reception. This helps us sooooo much. She had everything under control and kept Anne Marie from having to stress about the details of the day. She kept the day running smoothly. Plus, she’s just so darn much fun to be around!  I know many brides decide not to hire a wedding coordinator, but before deciding to do everything yourself, just give a thought to having a true professional help you along to make sure YOUR day is exactly the way you want it to be.

Anyway, congrats to Anne Marie and Ken, wherever you are.  As for me, I’m going to bed.
