ELISABETH AND BEN

Hi Everyone!  Whew!!  I just got back from a weekend trip to East Tennessee for my college homecoming/class reunion.  LOTS of fun!  Where did the time go???  But even though I was excited to see old friends again, I was torn.  Torn because for the FIRST TIME EVER,  I missed a wedding this weekend!   :--(    I've been to ALL the weddings we've covered until now.  Not being at this wedding was hard.  Of course, Lynette and Amanda were there, and they had a great third camera person in Amy, who stepped right in and took my place.  Hmmmm . . . Took my place?  Hmmm. . . . Maybe I need to talk with Lynette about my job security!  :--0    Anywhooo. . . . .

I also hated to miss this wedding because I knew it was going to be BEAUTIFUL.  I LOVE autumn, and this was an outdoor ceremony, and the weather was gorgeous.  As far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as bad weather in autumn!   Michael Howard was the photographer for this event, and I was looking forward to seeing him again, but . . . guess that will have to wait until next time.   And, as usual, we had such a nice couple . . . *sigh* . . . Too bad there wasn't two of me to do both -- the college reunion AND the wedding!

Even though I wasn't there, Elisabeth and Ben decided to get married anyway (ha ha).  They were married at the Boxwoods Garden at Belle Meade Mansion, and the reception was at the Carriage House (also at the Mansion).  How great is that!  And according to Lynette, everything was absolutely gorgeous!  Well  . . . see for yourself!

Just look at Elisabeth -- Isn't she beautiful?  And her dress is to die for!!!   And look at Ben . . . These shots were taken as he waited for the bride to make her entrance.  What a great smile!

Look at the gorgeous day!  And the flowers!  Can you believe how beautiful everything looks!!!

And the ceremony -- Lynette says that it was very special and especially touching.  

And now on to the reception!  Looks like I missed a great one!  Lynette said that the band, City Lights, did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor, and that it looked as though everyone was having a great time.   We've posted a clip of Elisabeth and her bridesmaids (joined later by Ben!)  dancing to "I Will Survive".  THEY were DEFINITELY having fun!!!  You can view the clip here.

And away Elisabeth and Ben go!!!   What a picture perfect, ummm, I mean video perfect day!    The only thing that I can think of  that wasn't perfect. . ..was that I WASN'T THERE!!!   :--)   But somehow I think that Elisabeth and Ben didn't mind at all -- Best wishes to you both!

And now its time for this sleepyhead to go to bed . . .
