JENNIFER & JONATHAN

Whew! It's almost November, and things are getting really busy here at McNeal Video! It's always busy with editing, but usually things are slower this time of year when it comes to actually shooting weddings. But this year we're gearing up for several big weekends of weddings coming up! We started out this past weekend with a great wedding on Sunday morning. Now those of you who know me, know that I am NOT a morning person, so getting up for a Sunday morning wedding was a bit difficult for this sleepyhead. But I knew that it was going to be a lovely ceremony and that there was going to be cake there, so I was able to climb out of bed! 

 This past Sunday, October 26, Jennifer and Jonathan were married at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. This was our first Sunday morning wedding ever, and our first ceremony at the Symphony Center, so it was a bit of an exciting experience for us. The Schermerhorn is a great venue for a wedding, and we were really looking forward to it. Jennifer and Jonathan did not let us down! Everything was beautiful!

But most beautiful of all were Jennifer and Jonathan. I know we say it alot, but its absolutely true -- We are so lucky to work with the nicest couples! And Jennifer and Jonathan were both soooooo very nice! I got to hang out with Jonathan before the ceremony, and I have to say that he was the most relaxed, confident groom I've ever seen!

And Jennifer was so sweet. I usually don't have the opportunity to see the bride before the ceremony, but this week I actually helped Amanda film Jennifer as she got into her wedding gown. She was so relaxed and comfortable. And she looked gorgeous in her gown! I especially loved the touch of fresh flowers in her hair.

Jonathan and Jennifer chose to see each other prior to the ceremony, but due to unexpected time delays, they didn't actually get to meet until about ten minutes before Jennifer was to walk down the aisle. Even though they didn't have long, it was a very special moment. I'm so glad we were there to capture it on video for them.

The ceremony was lovely. Jennifer and Jonathan wrote their own vows which were truly heartfelt and touching. I love it when they do that!

 

 

After the ceremony, the guests were invited to the reception -- a jazz brunch held in the West Lobby of the Center. The mood was joyful; there was a beautiful cake, yummy food, and warm toasts for the bride and groom. A special moment at the reception was when the groom's sister sang a song for the couple.  She was awesome!  It's one of those "Sometimes Only Video Will Do" moments, so we posted a clip so everyone can see how wonderful she was.  You can view the clip here.

 

  

It was obvious that everyone had a great time and that everyone was happy for the couple on their wedding day. It was also obvious that Jennifer and Jonathan were having a wonderful time!
