ENCHANTED BRIDES DREAM WEDDING - 5.11.07 - SHANNON & JOSH

Last weekend was an exciting weekend for us -- we were the videographers for the Enchanted Brides Dream Wedding at Cheekwood.

Gray-Callis9.jpgEven though Enchanted Brides provided some of Nashville's best wedding vendors for this event, it was first and foremost Shannon and Josh's wedding day, and our focus was on capturing this special day for them.

Shannon was a beautiful bride and Josh a handsome groom.  The cakes and flowers were lovely, and the reception area in the Botanic Hall was elegant.  Everything was beautiful . . . except the weather.

The ceremony was scheduled to be held in the Wills Perennial Garden at Cheekwood.  It was decorated with rows of white chairs and a trelace covered with flowers; the couple's initials were spelled out in rose petals at the front of the aisle. garden%204.jpg

Shannon was especially excited about the location, and so were we -- but, unfortunately, the bad weather hit approximately 30 minutes before time for Shannon and Josh to walk down the aisle.  Guests were arriving, musicians were setting up, and we were getting in our places when the rain began. Not only did it rain, it poured.  And not only did the rain pour, it stormed.

Everyone changed to "Plan B", which was to have the service in the Frist Learning Center, located on the other side of Cheekwood.  As you can image, we (Amanda, Lynette, and I) were all soaking wet by the time we made the dash.  Of course, great care was taken to get the bride and her wedding party inside and protect them from getting wet, and that was successfully done.  Shannon still looked radiant and her attendants were supportive as she handled the change of plans; Josh and his groomsmen made it with boutonnieres in place; and Cheekwood provided vans to transport the wedding guests and family to the new ceremony site.

Gray-Callis3.jpgThe ceremony started a few minutes late, but the music was just as beautiful, the atmosphere was warm, and Shannon and Josh were beaming as they took their vows underneath the same flower draped trelace that had been in the garden.  By the time the reception started, the guests were relaxed (and dry), and Shannon and Josh looked to be very much in love and happy.

The reception went off as planned and the couple exited hours later to a cascade of bubbles.  And we got it all on video . . .I think Shannon and Josh will be very happy.  Check back from time to time -- we'll post some clips after editing is completed.  Until then, please check the gallery -- I grabbed a few frames from the video and have posted some photos there.

Much thanks goes out to the great people at Enchanted Brides Magazine for inviting us to be the videographers for this event.  Shannon and Josh are a great couple and were wonderful to work with.  We feel honored to have been part of their day, and wish them the very best as they go through life together.

Shannon and Josh's wedding is featured in the July 2007 issue of Enchanted Brides Magazine - be sure to check it out!
